Goshen Boy Hit By Car In Syracuse

A Goshen 5-year-old boy was injured during an accident Tuesday in Syracuse.

According to the police report, Kevin D. Warren, 58, Skylane Drive, Syracuse, was traveling north on West Henry Street at approximately 7:05 p.m. when he observed some people on the bridge.

When his vehicle crossed the bridge, Warren told police he heard something hit his car. He then stopped.

The police report stated Warren hit Dimetree Hoskins, Goshen. Warren told police he did not see Hoskins enter the roadway or hit his car.

Witnesses told police Hoskins was standing with his father on the west side of the bridge and was struck by Warren’s vehicle when trying to cross.

Hoskins was taken by Syracuse Medic 12-7 to Fort Wayne Lutheran Hospital.

Hoskins’ mother updated the police later and said he suffered several bruises, scrapes and a fractured right foot.
