MICHIGAN CITY — Gloria Green, 88, Michigan City, passed away at 6:09 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2017, in Franciscan Health — Michigan City, Michigan City.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 21, at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Michigan City.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Friday till the time of service at the funeral chapel.
She was born Jan. 11, 1929, in Michigan City, to the late Frank and Gertrude Buzalski Chebowski. On April 26, 1952, in Michigan City, she married Wilbert "Red" Green, who preceded her in death on Feb. 21, 2006.
Surviving are two daughters, Kathryn (Michael) Pasky, Michigan City, and Deborah (Ernest) Wiggins, Warsaw; four grandchildren: Jonathan (Marissa) Pasky, Indian Head Park, Ill.; Christopher (Sarah) Wiggins, Warsaw; Stephanie (Jacob) Haney, Zionsville; and Elizabeth (Derek) Domenico, Denver, Colo.; and four great-grandchildren: Nash, Stella and Crew Wiggins and Lillian Haney.
She was preceded in death by a son, Gilbert Green; and three sisters: Jean Rebich, Mildred Riddle and Lucille Hale.
Gloria had worked for many years as a clerk in the La Porte County Treasurer’s Office. She was a member of the Senior Center of Washington Park.
