Gene Dirck, 76, Warsaw, died at 10:03 a.m. Nov. 5, 2008, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He was born June 28, 1932, in Warsaw, to Harold and Ora Ballard Dirck. On Nov. 22, 1972, in Leesburg, he married Mary Lou Sisk, who survives.
He was a lifetime Warsaw resident and worked at Warsaw Foundry. He was a member of Warsaw Wesleyan Church and the Senior Activity Center.
Also surviving are a daughter, Theresa (and spouse Bryan) Howe; two sons, Doug (and spouse Shannon) Dirck and Steve (and spouse Carolyn) Dirck, all of Warsaw; two sisters, Lucille (and spouse Dick) Weirick and Betty (and spouse Glen) Grubbs, all of Warsaw; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Andy Weaver officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
