Gas Prices

Posted
Editor, Times-Union:
I was disappointed to only hear one half-hearted attempt of our local gas station owners trying to justify why Warsaw has the highest gas prices in northern Indiana.

Another example is on 01/26/12. Warsaw gas prices leaped to 3.45 while Pierceton was at 3.19 and Larwill was at 3.18.

For years these business owners have taken advantage of us. It’s one thing to do it in a good economy, but to take advantage of us in a recession when many have lost jobs and wages have been cut, puts these people in a whole new category of greed.

And some can’t buy gas out of town, they have to by gas in Warsaw, but you don’t have to purchase anything else at the station.

But they seem to be great friends when they see us on the golf course, in church, in a restaurant or in the neighborhood.

The only way this will change is if we don’t buy gas in Warsaw, so every opportunity you get, don’t buy gas in Warsaw. Every gallon bought somewhere else takes it away from them. They don’t seem to mind taking away from us.
