AKRON – Gary L. Bahney, 59, of 15560 N. Ind. 19 Macy, died at 11:56 a.m. Aug. 23, 2011, in the emergency room at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester.

He was born July 3, 1952, in Fulton County, to  Bobbie L. and Bonnie J. Miller Bahney. On Oct. 2, 2004, in Roann, he married Pamela McKee, who survives.

He was currently working as a maintenance leadman at Rochester Metal Products, where he worked for more than 12 years. He formerly had his own business, Bahney Home Improvement, for 25 years. He graduated from North Miami High School in 1970. He loved to hunt when he had time. He also enjoyed doing various types of carpentry work.

Also surviving are four daughters, Beth (and spouse  Shawn) Carpenter, Lia (and spouse Jose) Rosas and A’shel (and spouse Armando) Ruiz, all of Warsaw, and Jessica Bahney, North Webster; five sons: Justin “Jake” (and spouse Mandy) Gearhart, Akron; Josh Bahney, Perrysburg; Sean (and spouse Tanya) McKee, Rochester; Troy (and spouse Ashley) McKee, Logansport; and Levi McKee, Macy; 21 grandchildren; four sisters, Diana (and spouse Mike) Gehring and Kathy (and spouse Emrey) Gahl, all of Macy; Cindy (and spouse Joe) Tinney and Trina Ousley, all of Denver, Ind.; and a brother, Dennis (and spouse Sandy) Bahney, Tipton. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Diane and Judy; and a brother, Roy.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron, with Pastor Aaron Gross officiating. Burial will be in Gilead Cemetery.

Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
