CHURUBUSCO - Garland V. Hart, 85, of Churubusco, and formerly of Fort Wayne, died at 3:55 p.m. March 26, 2007, in Parkview Whitley Hospital, Columbia City.
He was born July 10, 1921, in Fort Wayne, to John E. and Anna G. Aurand Hart. On Feb. 16, 1946, in Fort Wayne, he married Wanda L. Kumfer, who survives.
Also surviving are three children, including Roger Hart, Warsaw; a brother; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco, with the Rev. Lane Burgland officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne, with military graveside rites.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.
