FULTON COUNTY - Fulton County Sheriff’s Office and Coroner’s Office are investigating the death of a Claypool man near a bridge in Rochester.
According to a news release from the FCSO, at approximately 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5, while following up on a welfare check, FCSO deputies located a deceased man near the Germany Bridge public access along the Tippecanoe River in Fulton County. The bridge is near 4213 N. CR 375W, Rochester.
The deceased man was identified as Brian Gambill, 35, Claypool.
The cause and manner of death remain under investigation by the FCSO and Coroner's Office.
Agencies assisting at the scene included the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Office, Lutheran EMS, Rochester Fire Department and the Fulton County Coroner's Office.
At this time, investigators do not believe there is any ongoing threat to the public, the news release states.
