MILFORD - Franklin R. Reed, 71, of Kosciusko County, died at 3:43 p.m. May 25, 2008, in Lakeland Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center.
He was born July 30, 1936, in Nappanee, to George and Alice Shumaker Reed. In the 1970s, he married Brenda Greenhill, who died in 1990.
He was a truck driver and also owned and operated Reed's Greater Shows. He was a member of American Legion Post 253, North Webster.
Surviving are three daughters: Pamela J. Reed, Nappanee; Betty Ann Pekarek, Mansfield, Ohio; and Dawn Romans, Northridge, Ohio; a son, Vonnie Greenhill, Pendleton; three grandchildren; a sister, Marilyn (and spouse Lowell) Kuhn, Bremen; and two brothers, Jim (and spouse Elaine) Reed, Cassopolis, Mich., and George (and spouse Carolyn) Reed, Nappanee. He was preceded in death by two grandsons.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Calvary Baptist Church, Nappanee, with Pastor Darrel Flaming officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
No calling is planned.
