Continuously serving Kosciusko County since 1854
The Kosciusko Community YMCA recently received a donation from the Franklin I. & Irene List Saemann Foundation.
Foundation representative Bob List visited the YMCA to present the gift in person. The donation will support the YMCA’s annual campaign, which helps make YMCA programs, memberships and services more accessible for individuals and families throughout Kosciusko County, according to a provided news release.
Through the annual campaign, the YMCA is able to provide financial assistance and remove barriers for people who need support. Annual campaign funds help ensure that children can participate in youth sports, families can access childcare and camps, individuals can take part in wellness programs, older adults can stay active and connected, and community members can find a place to belong at the Y.
The Franklin I. & Irene List Saemann Foundation has a long history of supporting organizations that improve quality of life throughout the community, including those focused on health, education, culture, libraries, volunteer programs and human services, stated the release.
“We are incredibly grateful to Bob List and the Franklin I. & Irene List Saemann Foundation for this generous gift,” said Jim Swanson, CEO at the Kosciusko Community YMCA. “This support directly strengthens our annual campaign and helps us continue serving kids, families, adults and seniors across our community. Gifts like this make it possible for the Y to meet real needs, remove barriers and create opportunities for people to belong, grow and thrive.”
The Kosciusko Community YMCA serves thousands of individuals and families each year through membership, youth sports, aquatics, childcare, chronic disease prevention, wellness programs, active older adult programs, community outreach and financial assistance.
This donation will help the YMCA continue providing meaningful programs, safe spaces and life-changing opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds through the many programs and services supported by the annual campaign.
The Kosciusko Community YMCA extends its thanks to the Franklin I. & Irene List Saemann Foundation for its generosity and continued investment in the well-being of Kosciusko County.
