A classic novel authored by Mary Shelly in 1818 is a tale of a Dr. Frankenstein who became obsessed with bringing death back to life never thinking of the consequences of his actions.
Mary Shelley’s masterpiece provides us with a perfect metaphor of today’s Democrat Party. A party that for decades was identified as the party of compassion, never at a loss for some new government program to make life easier for one voting block or another, with only one thing in mind ... maintaining power. For decades, Democrat mayors have monopolized many of the cities in this country. Under their leadership, or lack thereof, these cities became incubators for crime, political slight of hand and a voting “muscle memory” instilled in the minority communities handed down over generations. The class warfare, race baiting, Democrat “blue print” for re-election, has finally played out.
The catch phrase going around now is “affordability crisis.” The Democrats are very good at creating a problem and them come along and claim they are the ones that can fix it. Its kinda like hiring the arsonist to put out the fire that he had started! After using the great cities of our country as their personal play ground, wasting tax dollars on benefits for illegal aliens, depleting the housing supply prioritizing noncitizens over citizens increasing the already high cost of housing, and ignoring the desperate plight of mayors now find their offices being challenged, not by Republicans, but by Socialists! Their incompetent governance has forced their under served constituents to turn to someone who makes more empty promises than they did.
I imagine that Seattle and New York will not be the only Blue cities to fall for the charms of Socialist. The “affordability crisis,” greatly magnified in Democrat run cities, there will no doubt be more upsets in the political landscape. This unwanted phenomenon conjures the frightening image of a maniacal Dr. Frankenstein screaming “It’s alive,” “It’s alive” ... indeed it is.
