ROCHESTER – Frances Utter 51, of 7557 E. Ind. 14, Akron, died at 4:48 a.m. March 30, 2012, in her residence.
She was born June 27, 1960, in Warsaw, to Jessie and Doris Staley Hackworth. On July 15, 1978, in Warsaw, she married Morse M. Utter Jr., who survives.
She had worked as a paramedic and EMT for Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester, and was residential manager for Cardinal Services of Indiana, Warsaw. She was a member of Athens United Methodist Church and had played the piano at First Presbyterian Church, Rochester.
Also surviving are four daughters: Amber L. (and spouse Bryan) Edmondson and Aimee E. Utter, all Akron; Ashley R. (and spouse Eric) Hoyt, Paragould, Ark.; and Lacey R. Utter, Indianapolis; five grandchildren; her mother, Doris Hackworth, Warsaw; and a sister, Kathy (and spouse the Rev. Mike) Curtis, Rantoul, Ill. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Athens United Methodist Church with the Rev. Michael McFarland officiating. Burial will be in Athens Cemetery.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, and one hour prior to service Wednesday at the church. ***** Memorials may be made to Hope Hospice of Fulton County.
