The Fourth of July will be celebrated next weekend and a number of local towns and associations are planning events.
Following are details about those events. This list will be updated if any more information is provided.
Akron
On July 3, there will food and retail vendors, as well as kid inflatables, at Pike Memorial Park from noon to 8 p.m.
The Jim Bucher Memorial Car Show will be held at the park from 1 to 5 p.m. Also at the park, a petting zoo and pig races will be from 2 to 4 p.m.
On July 4, the Fireman’s Breakfast, sponsored by Henry Township Volunteer Fire Department, will be at the Henry Township Fire Station from 7 to 10 a.m.
At Akron Elementary School, a Firecraker 5K event will take place July 4. Registration is from 7 to 7:45 a.m. with the 5K walk starting at 8 a.m., the 1-mile Fun Run starting at 8:15 a.m. and the 5K run will start at 8:30 a.m.
There will be a parade starting at 11 a.m. on Rochester and Mishawaka streets. Line up starts at 9 a.m. The theme is Mayberry USA.
At 9 a.m., there is a 3-on-3 basketball tournament. At 10 a.m., there is a co-ed volleyball tournament.
At 10 p.m. July 4, fireworks will be at Pike Memorial Park.
Chapman Lake
On July 1, there will be an Independence Day parade from 7 to 8 p.m. Lineup will begin at 6 p.m. at the Chapman Lake Clubhouse with the parade beginning at 7 p.m.
The route will begin at the clubhouse and travel Chapman Lake Drive from CR 300N to CR 450N. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place. Place winners and fourth, fifth and sixth place will receive a gift.
From 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. July 2, there will be a pancake breakfast at the Chapman Lake Conservation Clubhouse.
Fireworks will begin at dusk July 2.
Etna Green
A parade will be at 11 a.m. July 4. The line-up will start at 10 a.m. down West Broadway Street starting at the fire department. The parade will turn onto South Walnut Street and turn onto West High Street, ending at Heritage Park.
Tractors can line up in the park drive for tractor show.
At 10 p.m. July 4, there will be fireworks.
North Manchester
Fireworks on July 2 will be at 10 p.m. at Manchester High School. Rain day will be July 3.
North Webster
Webster Lake Conservation Association will have fireworks July 2 at 10 p.m.
The rain date is July 9.
Syracuse
Lake Wawasee will have fireworks at 10:15 p.m. July 2.
Syracuse Lake will have fireworks at 10:15 p.m. July 4.
Tippecanoe Lake
The Tippy Flotilla, sponsored by the Lake Tippecanoe Property Owners Association.
The parade will be led by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office on a planned route around Lake Tippecanoe.
The Flotilla will depart the sandbar of Patona Bay at 1 p.m. Following the parade, cash rewards will be given to the top three floaters. Floaters must be registered to win an award.

Fireworks will start at 10:30 p.m. July 2.
Winona Lake/Warsaw
Winona Lake Fireworks Festival is July 2 at The Village at Winona.
At 8 p.m. July 2 is the Circle Fountain Park - Symphony of the Lakes concert.
At 10 p.m. July 2, Winona Lake will have fireworks.
At 4 p.m. July 3, the Winona Lake Flotilla will occur.
