Four Injured In Saturday Crash In Elkhart County

ELKHART COUNTY - Alcohol might have been a factor in a crash Saturday evening in Elkhart County in which several people were injured.
According to an Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office crash news release, at about 6:54 p.m. Saturday, a 2003 Buick Century, driven by John Wukich, 25, of Godfrey, Ill., was traveling east on CR 40, approaching the intersection with Ind. 119. Wukich disregarded the posted two-way stop sign on CR 40 and continued onto Ind. 119, the release states. The front of the Buick Century collided wit the passenger side of a 2017 Buick Enclave, driven by Shean Strong, 50, of Nappanee.
The Enclave was traveling south on Ind. 119. Shean Strong stated he did not have enough time to stop after observing the Buick Century disregard the stop sign. The Enclave was hit on the front passenger side.
Shean Strong complained of pain, as did a passenger in his vehicle, Pamela Strong, 53, the release states.
Wukich complained of pain. A 17-year-old female in the Buick complained of head injury.
Everyone in the vehicles were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
The report states the crash is still under investigation as alcohol might have been a factor in the crash.
The Buick Century sustained major front-end damage, while the Buick Enclave had damage to the passenger side.
