Former Tippecanoe Valley player Addy Miller was named the 2018 Female Indiana Class Basketball All-Star Classic Scholarship winner.
“We are very pleased with the efforts led by Kent and Steven in featuring the many youth involved in this event, and we are extremely proud of Addy's recognition as the female winner of the 2018 college scholarship,” said John Elliott, the chairman of the Eshther Pfleiderer Charitable Trust.
Elliott said the Esther Pfleiderer Charitable Trust, administered by First Source Bank, supports the efforts of the Indiana Class Basketball Classic in serving as the Event Sponsor.
The Indiana Class Basketball All-Star Classic and golf outing are held in support of a goal to showcase the quality and character of the Indiana boys and girls student basketball players to college coaches across the nation.
The annual event is hosted by former IU basketball great Kent Benson and directed by Steven Stremming, owner of excelhsports.com.
Several Indiana student-athletes have benefitted from the event held annually at Anderson University.
In addition to providing the weekend showcase, the All-Star Classic awards a scholarship to one male and one female athlete.
