Florence 'Dottie' Baker

Florence “Dottie” Baker, 96, died at 1:20 p.m. July 2, 2016, at Season’s Home Care, Warsaw.
She was born April 22, 1920, in Osceola, to Clarence E. and Ella Arvilla Long Richards. On May 21, 1938, in South Bend, she married  Max R. Baker, who passed Jan. 15, 1990.
She worked 50 years as a beautician for Dotties Beauty Shop, retiring in 2007.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Warsaw, and the church’s evening circle; the Warsaw Women’s Bowling Association for 55 years and was inducted into the Bowling Hall of Fame (1992-1993); Lambda Chi Omega Sorority; and, in 2000, was awarded the Warsaw Heart of Gold Award. A woman who was happiest doing something for others, she was a volunteer for Warsaw Biblical Gardens and was crowned Kosciusko County Senior Queen in 2004.
Surviving are two daughters, Sue (and spouse Ben) Bradway, Warsaw, and Sally (and spouse Karl) Shriver, Monticello; four grandchildren: Brad Drudge, Ammie Devenney, Jason Shriver and Jennifer Shriver; and  five great-grandchildren: Justin, Jeremy, Olivia, Owen and Jace. She also was preceded in death by three sisters, Eva Williams, Vera Martens and Pauline Richards; and four brothers: Thomas, Donald, Ernest and Raymond.
A Lambda Chi Omega service will be at 7:30 p.m. tonight and a funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Titus Funeral Home, with Pastor Bill Wood, Packerton United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw,
