Firefighters responded to a small fire in a dust collector at Zimmer Biomet, 1800 W. Center St., Warsaw, early Friday morning.
Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory Public Information Officer Max Kinsey said no one was hurt in the incident.
The cause of the ignition was burning titanium and failure of equipment.
The alarm sounded at 1:08 a.m. Crews disassembled the dust collector and the fire was under control by 2:39 a.m. Friday. It was turned back over to Zimmer Biomet at 3:09 a.m., he said.
Along with the WWFT, assisting agencies included Winona Lake, Burket, Leesburg, Pierceton and Silver Lake fire departments; Lutheran EMS and Warsaw Police Department.
