Fashion Weekend will kickoff Friday and go through Sunday.
This is the first year Main Street Warsaw has put on the event and is intended to feature the downtown’s fashion boutiques, said Terry Sweeney, downtown development director for MSW. Three of the downtown’s fashion boutiques will be involved in Fashion Weekend this year: Male Fashions, Glam Boutique and Finley and Co.
With MSW’s 2030 strategic plan, they wanted to highlight downtown’s boutiques and wanted to make downtown be seen as the community’s living room, Sweeney said.
On Friday, from 5 to 7 p.m., Main Street Warsaw, Lakeland Art Association and downtown retail shops are hosting the fourth monthly Sip N Shop. The event will feature eight retail shops, Lakeland Art Association gallery art vendors and street musicians presented by Toyota of Warsaw, according to a provided press release.
Friday’s event will include live mannequins and fashionable Toyota car displays at Glam Boutique, Finley and Co. and Male Fashions, Sweeney said.
All locations taking part in the Friday Sip N Shop will be providing complimentary wine and cheese to shoppers, while art vendors and musicians line downtown sidewalks providing a unique strolling experience. This month’s street musicians include Abbie Thomas, Evan Hendsbee, Matt Fawcett and Jerry Nenycz, stated the release.
On Saturday, there will be a runway show at The Vic. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. with the show starting at 8:30 p.m.
On Sunday, there will be a private champagne for those who purchased tickets. The public is invited to an open champagne shop at Glam Boutique, Finley and Co. and Male Fashion from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on Sunday and can take advantage of special in-store discounts.
