Farmer's Market

Editor, Times-Union:

This letter is for all of the talk about a Farmer's Market opening downtown Warsaw.

There is already a Farmer's Market in Warsaw. It's on the west side of the fairgrounds. This market has been open for more than 30 years. The nice thing about this market is everything that is sold here is grown or raised in Kosciusko County. We don't allow merchandise to be shipped in from outside the county. We have a wide variety of things to choose from. For instance, besides the seasonal fruits and vegetables, we have plants, flowers, crafts, eggs, bread, noodles, fresh frozen pork and beef.

I feel maybe the city of Warsaw should help the Farmer's Market that is already in existence instead of trying to start a new one. The market will open Wednesday and run until Oct. 31. Our hours are Monday and Wednesday 2:30 to 5 p.m., and Saturday 8 to 11 a.m. Come and support the local growers in Kosciusko County.
