Fannie Whetstone Hochstetler

NAPPANEE – Fannie Whetstone Hochstetler, 89, of 8283 N. CR 600W, Etna Green, died at 4:15 a.m. Feb. 10, 2012, in her residence.
She was born April 22, 1922, in Middlebury, to John and Susie Hochstetler Whetstone. On March 7, 1946, she married Cletus Hochstetler, who died Nov. 10, 1993.
A lifetime area resident, she was a homemaker and a member of Old Order Amish Church.
Surviving are five sons: Marvin (and spouse Ida) Hochstetler and William Hochstetler, all of Nappanee;  Jacob (and spouse Inez) Hochstetler, Middlebury; John and Levi Hochstetler, both of Etna Green; and Jerry Hochstetler, Elkhart; two daughters, Emma (and spouse Charlie) Short, Nappanee, and Mary Hochstetler, Goshen; 16 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; a sister, Millie Whetstone, Middlebury; and four brothers: Joe (and spouse Carol) Whetstone, Michigan; Don Whetstone, Elkhart; John Henry Jr. (and spouse Goldie) Whetstone  and David (and spouse Barbara) Whetstone, all of Middlebury. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, a great-grandson and two brothers.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Bennie Mullet residence, 5053 W. CR 900N, Milford, with the Home Ministry of the Old Order Amish Church officiating. Burial will be in Graber Cemetery.
Calling is after 1 p.m. today and all day Sunday at the family residence.
