WINONA LAKE – The Winona Lake Police Department is hosting Faith & Blue on Saturday.
Faith & Blue is a national event that occurs the first week of October. It helps bridge the gap between the community and the law enforcement agencies but has the churches be the mediator/host, according to a provided news release.
There will be a free community meal Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Miller Sunset Pavilion, Winona Lake. There will people grilling hamburgers and hotdogs and ice cream will be provided.
The local churches of Kosciusko County are the sponsors/mediators/servants of the event. There will be kid and adult events, along with the opportunity to for everyone to interact and have a meal with the law enforcement officers that serve them.
The entire event is open to anyone and the churches will be providing resources to those in need. There will be bouncy houses and T-shirts for the youth.
