Everil L. Helser, 100, died at 4:45 p.m. Aug. 24, 2009, surrounded by her family in her daughter's residence in Nappanee.
She was born Nov. 10, 1908, in Warsaw, to Dayton and Amanda Stella Kline Miller. On April 7, 1928, in Warsaw, she married Raymond G. Helser, who died March 28, 1999.
Living most of her life in Warsaw, she was a homemaker; a member of Nappanee Church of the Brethren; and a former member of North Winona Church of the Brethren, Warsaw; Thrifty-Fifty Home Ec Club; Kosciusko County Home Demonstration Club, where she was president in 1960; and Warsaw Senior Citizens. She was an Area II Senior Citizens Queen.
Surviving are a daughter, Doris (and spouse Dale) Shively, Nappanee; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty (and spouse Glenn) Stump, North Manchester. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jean Lozier, who died Dec. 13, 1987; a sister, Grace Perry; and a brother, Gerald Kinsey.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, officiated by the Rev. Byrl Shaver of Nappanee Church of the Brethren Church. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
