WAKARUSA - Everett Whitehead Jr., 72, of 106 High St., Wakarusa, died at 8:12 a.m. May 29, 2007, in his residence.
He was born June 12, 1934, in Nappanee, to Everett Sr. and Flossie Neff Whitehead. On April 16, 1955, he married Jeannie Holderbaum, who survives.
A lifetime area resident, he was a New Paris High School graduate and a salesman for Yoder Oil Co., Elkhart, and KIS Products, Fort Wayne. He attended Nappanee Missionary Church.
Also surviving are three sons: Kim Whitehead, Wakarusa; Todd Whitehead, DeLafield, Wis.; and Brent Whitehead, Goshen; a daughter, Mrs. Martin (Angie) Miranda, Goshen; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Nappanee Missionary Church with Pastor Norm Reimer officiating, assisted by Pastor Marvin Engbrecht. Burial will be in Olive West Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Wakarusa, and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.
