SYRACUSE – Eugene L. “Gene” Druckamiller, 86, Syracuse, passed away Jan. 18, 2016 at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. He was born Nov. 17, 1962, in Syracuse, to Leo and Alma Heide Druckamiller. On July 7, 1929, he married Laurabelle Skelton, who survives in Syracuse. He was a Korean War era U.S. Army veteran. He retired from Liberty Homes after 52 years of service. He was a member of the Syracuse Church of God as well as the Syracuse American Legion. Also surviving are a son, Larry (and spouse Donna) Druckamiller, Warsaw; a stepson, Michael (and spouse Patty) Clark, Tampa, Fla.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Arden (and spouse Fran) Druckamiller, Indianapolis; and a sister, Delores Hepler, Milford. He was preceded in death by a brother. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Eastlund Funeral Home, with Pastor Stan Owen officiating. Burial will follow at the Brown Cemetery, Millersburg.
