An Etna Green woman is facing battery charges after allegedly kicking a nurse in the stomach.
Tara Lynn Purvis, 34, of 8810 W. Old 30, Etna Green, was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail at 6:48 a.m. May 29 and faces charges for battery to a public safety official, a Level 6 felony; and battery, a Class A misdemeanor.
According to the probable cause affidavit filed Monday in Kosciusko Superior Court II, on May 29 Warsaw police were dispatched to Kosciusko Community Hospital in reference to a battery.

The nurse told police she was trying to help Purvis out of bed when Purvis began kicking the nurse in the stomach and struck the nurse’s forearm with her foot.
According to court records, Purvis has three open cases pending in Kosciusko County courts for charges including possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia, public intoxication and criminal trespass.
