Kosciusko County Republican Central Committee Chairman Mike Ragan hopes to fill the vacancy on the Etna Green Town Council on June 30.
The vacancy occurred on Friday, June 5 after the immediate resignation of Republican long-time Board member Keith Claassen.
Eligible applicants must be residents of the town of Etna Green and Republicans in good standing, according to information provided by Ragan.
Since fewer than two persons would be eligible to participate in a precinct committeemen caucus to fill this vacancy, Ragan, as chairman of the Kosciusko County Republican Central Committee, will appoint a person to finish out Claassen’s term, which expires Dec. 31, 2027.
Ragan will make the appointment at 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 30 at the Kosciusko County Clerk’s Office in the Kosciusko County Justice Building.
Declarations of candidacy and statements of economic interests are available at the Clerk’s Office, 121 N. Lake St., Warsaw. They must be notarized and filed with Ragan no later than 72 hours before the appointment.
