ETNA GREEN - The Etna Green Town Council discussed a potential upgrade to the town's website during a meeting on Tuesday.
Clerk-Treasurer Ann Anglin told council she spoke with representatives from Split Road Media, which is based out of Rochester. The estimated costs for logo and website designs are $150 and $2,250, respectively. There would also be a $450 annual payment for updating the site. Anglin said the new website would provide the capability to make online payments for bills and an events calendar.
When asked about other quotes for comparison, Anglin said she attempted to contact two additional companies but received no response. Anglin and Kosciusko County Community Coordinator Amy Roe told council Split Road Media handles the websites for the city of Rochester and the town of Pierceton. Council asked Anglin to see if she can get more quotes in order to discuss the topic at the council's September meeting.
The council also:
• Approved $1,441.31 in water adjustments for various town residents.
• Addressed a question from resident Terra Trytko, who recently purchased a residence in town and is looking to place a shed on her property. Council told Trytko to get in contact with Kosciusko County Area Plan Commission Director Matt Sandy.
• Heard from Cici Long with the Etna Green Mobile Home Park about a water main break. Council President Heath Roberts said all the water lines in that area are owned by the park, with the town having responsibility over the water meter. Roberts said the issue would be looked into further when town attorney Nick Jacobs was present.
• Approved a resolution for balancing out various town funds in relation to when the clerk-treasurer switch over occurred.
Council's next meeting is at 7 p.m. Sept. 8.
