Enter TWF’s ‘Picture Your Watershed’ Photo Contest

Posted

NORTH WEBSTER - The season is slowly fading into autumn, but your summer memories remain captured as snapshots on your phone or camera.
The Watershed Foundation (TWF) would love to see how you live and play in the watershed — any time of year.
Now through Dec. 31, you can enter the Picture Your Watershed photo contest for a chance to win.
“We all love a good competition, but this event is more than a contest,” says Hannah Godfrey, communications and engagement specialist at TWF. “It connects residents with local natural resources and community.”
Submitting Your Photos
The following categories are available for photo submission:
● Lovin’ the Lakes: People engaged in lake activities – tubing, swimming, walking along the shore, etc.
● Wet ‘n’ Wildlife: Animals and wildlife.
● Nature’s Studio: Landscapes and watery reflections.
● Memories of the Lake: Vintage photos of life on our local lakes
Submit each photo through TWF’s online submission portal. Read the contest details and the full photo contest rules and legal conditions before entering your work. The deadline for submitting entries is Dec. 31.
Photos must be taken in the Upper Tippecanoe River Watershed to qualify.
Winners and Awards
A panel of judges will select one winner in each of the five categories. Additionally, the public will select one People’s Choice Award winner by popular vote.
Voting for the ‘People’s Choice Award' will run from Jan. 1-31.
This year, winners of each category will win a $25 gift card to Clayton’s Garden Center.
Lyn Crighton, executive director of The Watershed Foundation, explained, “At TWF, one of our favorite things is connecting others to the watershed we all share. The photo contest helps promote understanding about how we are all, in some way, connected to and benefit from our natural water resources.”
