NAPPANEE – Emma K. Anderson, 88, of 11552 N. CR 1000W, Nappanee, died at 1:25 p.m. Dec. 25, 2011, at her residence following an illness.
She was born July 12, 1923, in Fargo, N.D., to Martin K. and Mary Ann Schlabach Thomas. On Dec. 31, 1942, she married Noah S. Anderson, who died Oct. 29, 1998.
She was a lifetime resident of Nappanee. She was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Surviving are three sons: Ivan Ray Anderson, Goshen; David Lee (and spouse Wilma Fern Eash) Anderson and Noah (and spouse Lorene Miller) Anderson Jr., all of Nappanee; six daughters: Inez Mae Mast and Rosetta Anderson, both of Nappanee; Treva (and spouse Elmer Ray) Otto and Mary (and spouse Marvin Jay) Otto, both of Kokomo; Elizabeth “Betty” (and spouse Richard W.) Yoder, Topeka; Anna Marie (and spouse Harley A.U.) Miller, Etna Green; 45 grandchildren; 99 great-grandchildren; three stepsisters: Catherine (and spouse Menno) Hochstetler, Nappanee; Sylvia (and spouse Jacob) Hochstetler, Milford; Betty (and spouse Russell) Yates, Nappanee. She was preceded in death a daughter and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Noah Anderson Jr. residence, 11691 N. CR 100W, with Home Ministry of the Old Order Amish Church officiating. Burial will be in Weldy Cemetery.
Calling is today at the Anderson Jr. residence.
