Emma Christine Schooley, 91, died at 7:35 p.m. April 11, 2015, at Grace Village Healthcare, Winona Lake. She was born Oct. 23, 1923, in Warsaw, to Maynard M. and Ruth Violet Banghart Denny. On June 20, 1942, in Warsaw, she married Robert E. Schooley, who preceded her in death May 10, 1999. She is a 1941 graduate of Warsaw High School. She was a lifetime Kosciusko County resident and homemaker. She attended Cook’s Chapel, was a member of Lamplighter Home Ec Club, Sewing Club, and was an avid college basketball fan. Surviving are two daughters, Connie (and spouse Terry) Harrell, Plymouth, and Rebecca Murphy, Warsaw; a son, Dennis (and spouse Claudia) Schooley, Nashville, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; a sister, Patricia Shepherd, North Manchester; and a brother, Jerry (and spouse Janice) Banghart, Iowa. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Betty Cook, and a brother, Robert Denny. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Titus Funeral Home, with Pastors Earl Futch and Hank Lowman, Cook’s Chapel Church, officiating. Burial is in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
