Emily Davis, 81, of Bradenton, Fla., and formerly of Warsaw, passed away at 7:08 a.m. on May 8, 2017, in Westminster Manor in Bradenton.
On Feb. 15, 1936, in Orrville, Ohio, she was born to Richard C and Catherine Irvin Atkinson.
On Aug. 30, 1957, in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was united in marriage to G. Edmund Davis, who preceded her in death. She worked as a bailiff in the court system and had been a school teacher. She was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church and a member of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
She is survived by her son, Todd (and spouse Paulette) Davis, of Warsaw; a daughter, Beth Alvin, of Denver, Colo.; along with five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She also is survived by her sisters: Judy Hart of Albuquerque, N.M.; Kit Nisam, of Minneapolis, Minn.; Elizabeth Cross, of Cincinnati, Ohio; and a brother, Richard Atkinson, of Santa Fe, N.M.
She was preceded by her husband and her parents.
A memorial service will take place Thursday, June 29, at 10:30 a.m. at McHatton Sadler Funeral Chapel, presided over by Pastor Andrew Morton of the Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
