SYRACUSE – Elizabeth Brooks, 78, of Syracuse, died Sept. 30, 2012, in I.U. Goshen Hospital.
She was born March 25, 1934, in Milwaukee, Wis., to Roy and Julia Smith Coffey. She married Leonard Brooks III, who died in 2001.
She resided in Syracuse since 1978 and was a retired nurse.
Surviving are two daughters, Joanna Merriman, Syracuse, and Judith Brooks, Arizona; and eight grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a son.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Eastlund Funeral Home, Syracuse.
Calling will be an hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.
