AKRON - Elizabeth Ann Gray, 94, formerly of Akron, died at 7:30 p.m. July 8, 2010, in Renaissance Village of Fort Wayne, where she resided.
She was born May 14, 1916, in Akron, to Harvey and Helen Studebaker Arter. On Jan. 14, 1942, in Akron, she married Wm. Edward Gray, who died Oct. 28, 2008.
She was a homemaker and was a former telephone operator for General Telephone, Akron. She graduated from Akron High School; was a lifelong member of Akron United Methodist Church; and a former member of the Akron Order of the Eastern Star Chapter and the Akron Women's Club. She lived most of her life in the Akron area.
Surviving are a son, Philip E. (and spouse Ivy) Gray, Fort Wayne; a granddaughter, Holly (and spouse Ted) Raney, Fort Wayne; a grandson, Brian (and spouse April) Gray, Fort Wayne; three great-granddaughters, Aliya and Gretchen Raney and Morgan Miller; a great-grandson, Wyatt Raney; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron, with the Rev. Mimi Tucker officiating. Burial will be in Akron Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
