Elige Thompson Sr., 73, Warsaw, died at 5:36 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 13, 2020, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.
He was born on Dec. 19, 1946, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Ethel Hibbins Thompson and Phil Thompson. He was married to Geraldine Burkett Thompson and she passed away on Jan. 5, 1993. Elige remarried on July 5, 1997, to Roberta Hunter Thompson, who survives.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Jan. 16 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw. Elige’s life will be celebrated at 1 p.m. following visitation at the funeral home and officiated by Pastor Bob and Tanya Brown. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw.
