Elida L. Castellanos, 89, Warsaw, passed away at 4:32 a.m. June 14, 2016, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
On Oct. 22, 1926, she was born in Taft, Texas, to Elijio and Maria Aguirre Lopez. On March 15, 1943, in Edinburg, Texas, she was united in marriage to Manuel Castellanos, who preceded her in death in 1999.
She worked for Crystal Egg Products for 15 years. She was a great cook and loved cooking for her family and friends, especially apple pies. She loved everyone and always had a smile. She was a incredibly hard worker who used the snow blower and did her own mowing until she was 87.
She is survived by four children: Sue Castellanos and Amelia Lopez, both of Warsaw; Dave Castellanos, Fort Wayne; Joe (and spouse Donna) Castellanos, El Paso, Texas; she loved her six grandchildren: Leo Jr., Lorenzo, Shawn, Joey, Rachel, Noel; and she loved and cherished her four great grandchildren: Caleb, Isabella, Zeke and Dale. She was preceded in death by three children.
A funeral of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Father Phil DeVolder officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel.
