Elberta L. "Bertie" Morts, 93, of Warsaw, died at 3:03 a.m. July 31, 2010, in Miller's Merry Manor, Warsaw.
She was born Oct. 2, 1916, in Fulton County, to Clyde and Goldie Hoover Gearheart. On Oct. 5, 1935, she married Vern M. Morts, who preceded her in death.
Living most of her life in Warsaw, she worked at Playtime, Warsaw, and Ace Hardware for many years. She was a member of Walnut Creek United Methodist Church, Warsaw, and Crystal Home Economics Club.
Surviving is a son, Louis (and spouse Charlotte) Morts, Warsaw. She was preceded in death by a son, Leroy Morts; a grandson, Gilbert Morts; a great-grandson; three sisters, Geneva Elliott and Arlene and Ada Mae Gearheart; and a brother, Devon Gearheart.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, officiated by Pastor Steve Ailes of Walnut Creek United Methodist Church, Warsaw. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
