NORTH MANCHESTER – Effie Jean Allen, 91, North Manchester, died Jan. 27, 2026.
She was born Feb. 24, 1934, in Gunlock, Ky., to Silas and Mona Prater Howard Sr. On March 12, 1955, Effie married Glen Allen in Wabash; he died Nov. 16, 2015.
Family and friends may call Saturday, Feb. 7 from 10 a.m. to noon at McKee Mortuary, 1401 Ind. 114 West, North Manchester. Funeral services will begin at the conclusion of calling with Pastor Ward Etsie Allen officiating. Burial will be held at Lakeview Cemetery in Silver Lake.
