NORTH WEBSTER – Edna M. “Marie” Mock, 87, Syracuse, passed away at 6:31 p.m. July 19, 2015, at Avalon Village Nursing Home, Ligonier. She was born Dec. 21, 1927, in Leesburg (Clunette), to Leroy S. and Mary Ruth Goodman Bennett. On June 2, 1947, in Elizabeth City, N.C., she married Lee “Gene” Mock, who preceded her in death Sept. 26, 2013. She was a lifetime Kosciusko County area resident and attended Atwood High School. She was a homemaker and former waitress at local area restaurants. She formerly attended the New Salem Church of the Brethren in Milford. Surviving are a son, Gary Mock, Syracuse; a granddaughter, Valerie (and spouse Paul) Clingerman, Vincennes; and a brother, Dr. Gaylord Bennett, Seattle, Wash. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Demaris Bennett, and five brothers: Dwight, Eugene, Donald, Wendell and Chauncey Bennett.
