Edmond R. “Ed” Proietti, 93, Warsaw, passed away at 12:10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017, at his residence.
He was born July 24, 1924, in Mount Kisco, N.Y., to John and Natalie Salvati Proietti.
He graduated from Mount Kisco High School, attended a business college in New York and served with the United States Army during World War II. He was married on Aug. 14, 1948, in Pleasantville, N.Y., to Adele E. Kolb, who preceded him on Aug. 14, 1971.
He retired as a plant manager for Spartan Copper and Brass Co. after 40 years in New York, Illinois, California and Texas. He moved to the Warsaw area in April 2017 from Winchester, Va.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lions Club and VFW, all in Winchester. He was an avid golfer and won the Senior Olympics Championship in South Carolina and Florida.
He is survived by a daughter, Kathleen (Greg) Hall, Winchester; two sons, Gary (Sandra) Proietti, Mentone, and Garth Proietti, Houston, Texas; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Raymond Proietti, Manalapan, N.J.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; a granddaughter, Anna Proietti; and a brother, Archimedes Proietti.
No services are planned.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. Ind. 15, Warsaw. Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, Danville, Ill.
