LIGONIER - Earl L. Galloway, 88, of Kimmell, died at 1:05 p.m. April 6, 2010, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, of natural causes.
He was born Dec. 14, 1921, in Noble County, to Floyd and Mae Hoover Galloway. On Sept. 16, 1972, he married Helen Amick, who survives.
A lifetime area resident, he was a lifetime farmer and was a mechanic at Charlie's Sunoco, Ligonier, for more than 25 years. He graduated from Cromwell High School in 1940, and was a lifetime member of Moose Lodge, Kendallville.
Also surviving are four children: Harold Galloway, North Webster; Carroll (and spouse Linda) Galloway, Ligonier; Jerry Galloway, Roanoke; and Ronnie (and spouse Robin) Galloway, Cromwell; a stepdaughter, Cindy (and spouse Daniel) Chalfant, Land O Lakes, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Melvin and Don Galloway.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway S., Ligonier, with Celebrant Larry Baker officiating. Burial will be in Sparta Cemetery, Kimmell.
Calling is from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.
