Driver Faces Several Charges After Leading Police On Chase

MILFORD – A Milford man is in jail after leading police on a chase Saturday during Milford Fest.
Frank Thomas Rocha, 37, of 211 N. Main St., is charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, being a habitual traffic violator, resisting law enforcement and reckless driving.
At 12:56 p.m. Saturday, officers were alerted about a possible impaired driver in a silver passenger car on South West Street in Milford. Officers arrived and located the vehicle at the intersection of West First and South Higbee streets, according to a news release from the Milford Police Department.
Officers observed the vehicle driving all over the roadway and it almost struck two vehicles. Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop and the vehicle fled police.
The pursuit terminated after the suspect vehicle collided with a Milford police car and came to a stop in front of 210 S Higbee St.
The driver resisted police and was taken into custody.
The damage was under $700. No injuries were reported.
