Douglas William Wrobel, 84, Winona Lake, died Sunday, April 12, 2026, in the care of Mason Health & Rehabilitation Center, Warsaw.
Doug was born July 21, 1941, in Detroit, Mich., to Theodore L. and Shirley M. Wrobel. Doug enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Alaska for a short time and completed his tour during the Vietnam War.
Doug was married in October 1981 to Claudia Marie Landa, who died July 28, 2018.
Doug’s life will be celebrated with a service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 22 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw, and officiated by Pastor Denny Wilson. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with military rites. Friends and family may visit prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
