NAPPANEE - Dorothy H. Borger, 80, of 1002 Parkwood Drive, Nappanee, died at 3:50 a.m. April 24, 2008, at Miller's Merry Manor, Wakarusa.
She was born March 14, 1928, in Kirksville, Mo., to Alfred R. and Alpha South Hinton. On July 14, 1962, in Berea, Ohio, she married Donald L. Borger, who survives.
She moved from Brimfield, Ohio, to Nappanee in 1985. She graduated high school in Kirksville, Mo., and Kirksville Teachers College. She was an elementary school teacher and owned and operated a private pre-school for 19 years in Stow, Ohio. She was a member of Nappanee First Presbyterian Church and Thursday Club, both in Nappanee, and Tri Sigma Sorority.
Also surviving are a son, Dr. Michael (and spouse Bonnie) Borger, Nappanee; two granddaughters; and a brother, Dr. Robert L. Hinton, Everett, Wash. She was preceded in death by a brother.
A memorial service and cremation will take place at a later date.
