FORT WAYNE - Dorotha Louise McConnell Gensic, 77, died Feb. 6, 2008, in St Anne Home, Fort Wayne.
She was born Feb. 23, 1930, in Pierceton, to Ralph H. and Margaret E. Swonger McConnell. In 1948, she married John Henry Gensic, who died in 1999.
She co-founded and operated Gensic Sheet Metal Inc. for more than 30 years. She was a member of Fort Wayne Women's Club and the valedictorian of the 1948 Pierceton High School graduating class.
Surviving are six sons: Michael (and spouse Patricia) Gensic, Albion; George (and spouse Trisha) Gensic, Durham, N.C.; Mark (and spouse Elizabeth) Gensic, Fort Wayne; Anthony (and spouse Debra) Gensic, Colorado Springs, Colo.; John Henry "Jack" (and spouse Kathleen) Gensic, Columbia City; and Dennis (and spouse Lisa) Gensic, Booneville; two daughters, M. Angela (and spouse David) Cutigni, Leo, and Anastasia (and spouse Joseph) Krutulis, West Lafayette; 36 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, Fort Wayne.
Calling is two hours prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
