Doris Lucille Berlin, 92, of Pierceton, passed away Monday, Oct. 2, 2017, at 1:15 p.m. in Visiting Nurses & Hospice Home Fort Wayne, Indiana.

She was born Dec. 18, 1924, in Pierceton, to Alfred Ray and Trilby Droud Linn.

She was a lifetime Pierceton resident.  On April 24, 1948, she was united in marriage to John Martin Berlin in Warsaw. She was a proud homemaker and loved all parts of tending to her family and home. She also worked at Kirkham Greenhouse in Pierceton. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pierceton. In addition, she enjoyed spending time with her grandsons, completing crossword puzzles, music, singing, babysitting and mending.

She is survived by her two sons, Gary Berlin, Fort Wayne, and Brett Berlin, Pierceton; one daughter, Kristy Mayer, Warsaw; one brother, Clifford Linn, Pierceton; a grandson, Daniel Mayer, Milford; faithful companions, her dog Rusty and two cats.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, John, on Oct 13, 1976. Also, preceding her in death are one sister, Georgia Bell; one grandson, David Mayer; and both parents.

Visitation is scheduled from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton. A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 6, 2017, in the chapel. Pastor Mark Fishburn will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
