LAPEL – Doris L. Cox, 85, Noblesville, passed away April 14, 2015, at Riverview Hospital following a brief illness. She was born Dec. 3, 1929, in Warsaw, to Samuel and Treva Tucker Secor. She was a longtime resident of Kosciusko County. She spent more than 30 years as a seamstress, working for both Jomac Products, Warsaw, and Hart Schaffner & Marx, Rochester. She currently worked at Walmart, where she held various positions for the past 20 years. She enjoyed staying active, had a passion for politics and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters, Londa (and spouse Kenneth) Yost, Warsaw, and Shelley (and spouse Steven) DeReu, Westfield; two sons, Mark (and spouse Sul Yo) Hatfield, Pensacola, Fla., and Joseph (and spouse Sandy) Slone, Noblesville; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Linda Rae; her son, Douglas Neil; and all of her siblings, which include six brothers and five sisters. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to her Walmart family for their friendship and support. A private family service will be conducted at a later date.
