ELKHART- Dora Marie Butler, 92, Elkhart, passed away April 21, 2014, at her residence.
She was born March 2, 1922, in Warsaw to Roy R. and Marjorie M. Longfellow Ruse. On June 21, 1944, in Warsaw she married Donald D. Butler, who passed away Feb. 23, 2010.
She was previously employed at Elkhart Products for several years. She was a member of Edwardsburg Presbyterian Church for more than 50 years and a former member of Delta Theta Tau. She and Donald resided on Garver Lake for 27 years, and had many wonderful memories with family and friends there.
Surviving are her daughter, Deedee (and spouse Dan) Guss, Fort Wayne; a son, David (and spouse Paula) Butler, Lake, Mich.; two grandchildren, Monty and Robert Langwell Jr., both of Elkhart; a great-granddaughter, Ani Langwell, Elkhart; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Wilma Barsh and Janice Andrews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Edwardsburg Presbyterian Church, 68961 Lake St., Edwardsburg, Mich., with the Rev. Scott P. Scheel officiating. A luncheon will follow the service at the church. Burial is in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, and one hour prior to services Friday.
