Donna F. Crum, 60, Claypool, died at 8:15 p.m. Dec. 14, 2013, in Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne. She was born May 6, 1953, in Warsaw, to Newton P. and Betty (Hall) Wallen. She was married June 16, 1973, in Clintwood, Va., to Robert Crum, who survives in Claypool. She was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County. She received her bachelor’s degree in education from Indiana University South Bend. She was a substitute teacher in special education and K-12 for Warsaw Community Schools and Tippecanoe Valley Schools. Also surviving are: a son, Steve (and spouse Tammy) Wallen, Fort Wayne; two daughters, Melissa (and spouse Jason) Abbott, Leesburg, and Michelle (and spouse Russell) Flowers-Schultz, Warsaw; three brothers, William (and spouse Lori) Wallen, South Whitley; Woodrow Wallen, Columbia City; and Troy Wallen, Akron; eight sisters, Barbara (and spouse Don) Miller, Sevastapool; Delores (and spouse Joe) Rose, Claypool; Josephine (and spouse Clifford) Clevenger, North Webster; Ellen Wallen, Warsaw; Betty Wallen, Leesburg; Braska (and spouse Fred) Rose and Tammy (and spouse Rex) Allen, Warsaw; 11 grandchildren, Taylar Roberts, Ashaunte Wallen, Aaron Flowers, David Lindley, Brandi Lindley, Adam Lindley, Brandon Flowers, Stephanie Lindley, Caleb Wallen, Luca Wallen, and Doblon Wallen; and three great-grandchildren, Brady Roberts, Laila Lindley and Kaylynn Lindley. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Richard Wallen and Ernie Wallen. Services will be at noon Saturday at the Menzie-Reece Post #258 of the American Legion, Pierceton, with Jeremy Hamby officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the Legion. Internment services will be private.
