Deone Wayne Himes, 80, Warsaw, passed away June 3, 2014, at his residence. He was born April 14, 1934, in Warsaw, to Richard and Florence Dorsche Himes. On Feb. 14, 1969, he married Evelyn May Zimmerman, who died Dec. 17, 1997. He was a lifetime resident of Warsaw, where he was a 1953 graduate of Warsaw High School. He was a member of the Warsaw Bowling League, and for a number of years he worked at the Holiday Bowling Lanes. He later went into business as a private contractor as a tiling and ceiling installer. He enjoyed his yard work and especially his family. He was an avid weather watcher and a loyal Cubs fan. Surviving are two daughters, Deona (and spouse Jay) Moore, Tucson, Ariz., and Deb (and spouse Rob) McDonald, Warsaw; and four grandchildren: Shawna and Ashley Moore; and Greg and Scott McDonald. He was also preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Betty Gelbaugh and Mary Graber. No services are planned.
