Deanna Jean Tobias Meyers, 71, Warsaw, died peacefully in her home July 14, 2016, with her family at her side.
She was born June 20, 1945, in Chicago. She was married for 44 years to Robert Clifford Meyers III, who survives.
She graduated with the class of 1963 from Eisenhower High School, Blue Island, Ill. Beautiful and stylish, she modeled in Chicago as a young woman. She was employed by the Ace Hardware floral department in the 1980s, then worked more than a decade with Helvey & Associates.
She treasured her family above all else. She enjoyed sewing, making gifts for her loved ones, and relished extravagantly hand-made holidays. Music moved her, especially “Old Blue Eyes.” To her family’s delight, she was an accomplished cook, specializing in showcasing the harvests from Robert’s gardens and orchards.
She was a long-time and active member of St. Anne’s Episcopal Church. “Dea,” Mom, “Grammie” is now enjoying a fully restored body and mind in the presence of Christ.
