NORTH MANCHESTER - David L. Spann, 53, of North Manchester, died at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 7, 2009, in his residence.
He was born Jan. 13, 1956, in Indianapolis, to Phil A. and Joanne E. Werking Spann.
He was a cook at Kentucky Fried Chicken, was a member of Liberty Mills Church of the Brethren and graduated from Manchester High School in 1974.
Surviving are a two sons, James R. Spann, Hawaii, and Philip (and spouse Ashley) Spann, Wabash; a daughter, Wendy M. (and spouse Dee) Smith, North Manchester; his father and stepmother, Phil A. and Carol Spann, North Manchester; a brother, Mark A. Spann, Muncie; a sister, Susan (and spouse David) Curtis, Herman, Mo.; seven grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be at Oaklawn Cemetery with the Rev. Kelly Beutler officiating.
No calling is planned.
